What Ryan Is Loving
House of Villains: OK, so after watching the second episode, I only enjoyed it because Jax was Jax. Shake from Love Is Blind cracks Jax’s very thin exterior and rattles him to the point of Jax threatening to go back to jail so that he can hurt Shake. Jax brought it upon himself when he bragged about making $450k on Cameo and Brittany’s 2 million dollar deal with Jenny Craig. Jax will never change and it’s funny to see how much he hasn’t changed in these moments. It takes you back to a time when Jax was one of the best villains on TV, and you couldn’t trust anything he said. (Editor’s note: Ryan is also on Cameo! For $25, he’ll wish your loved one a happy birthday! Great gift for the holidays too!)
Not All Diamonds and Rose by Dave Quinn. Read by Amy Phillips.
I’ve been listening to this for the last couple of weeks, and it’s great. I recommend the audiobook because Amy Phillips does all the character voices of the housewives, and it adds another layer of humor. It’s a first-person account of how each Housewives franchise started and key moments from each season—so much history. You find out things you didn’t know and also see how each housewife has their unique thing that made these shows so successful. I always say you have to study the past to make way for the future, and this does that in spades. Love, love, love it. Click here to buy it.
Walking: So the last three months, hell, this whole year, I haven’t moved tons. In the last three weeks, I’ve finally started walking again…on purpose. It’s really helped me. It’s good to move your body, even though I initially hate it. It’s a great chance to clear your head, think about things, listen to music or audiobooks, and be around people. New York City walking is the best because you get to see people and realize you’re on this planet with others lol. Highly recommend!
Heather McMahan’s Netflix Comedy Special “Son I Never Had”: It’s loud and boisterous and funny. I recently started learning about her because she came on the show this week. You really root for her, and she just made me laugh. I like her sharing personal stories with energy; it inspired me and made me reframe my personal tragedies. If you need a laugh, try this. Available on Netflix.
Coffee: I just love it. Wakes you up, cleans you out, gives you the will to live! If you guys have never heard of coffee, try it. You heard it here first!
BravoCon 2023: I hope to see you all there! It’s a really exciting experience where you meet new people, make new friends and share in something we all love. Or love to hate. Bravo! (Editor’s Note: Don’t worry if you can’t make it to Las Vegas this year; we’ll be giving ALL THE BRAVOCON COVERAGE on our SBIG Patreon. Sign up at https://www.patreon.com/sobaditsgood)
What Maritza Is Loving
George Benson is undoubtedly one of the greatest musicians in the history of contemporary jazz and soul music. I grew up listening to his music at a young age, and my love of his music has deepened as I’ve gotten older. If you are unsure of his music, you will recognize his famous rendition of “On Broadway” and/or “Give Me The Night”. My personal favorites are “Lady Blue”, This Masquerade” and, of course, “Breezin”. Listen to Breezin’ in your car on a Sunday afternoon for an instant mood elevator. I hope you’ll use the links and give them a listen OR ask your parents. I’m sure they already have his records in their jazz rotation. Available on Amazon.
House of Villains: I really wanted not to like this show, but boy, was I wrong. Let me start by saying the casting for this was phenomenal. As a long-time reality TV watcher, seeing iconic villains like Omorosa, Johnny Fairplay, and Tiffany “New York” Pollard was a hit of sweet nostalgia to my soul. I highly recommend this show while folding laundry or doing your taxes. Oh yeah, and Jax Taylor is on it. Don’t be surprised if you kinda like him after you watch it. He’s really likable! Watch the first episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7cg7afqt9Q and on E! Entertainment.
Reality Gays Podcast with Mattie & Poodle: I’m sure you’re already huge fans of Reality Gays, but if you’re not, get with it. Mattie and Poodle are two therapists who recap 90 Day Fiance and their 20 or so spinoffs. Warning: If you don’t like sex talk or you’re a Carl’s wife, this pod might not be for you! But if you’re a dick pig and love smutty humor like I do, Mattie and Poodle are your new best friends. Fun fact: Ronnie Karam of Watch What Crappens fame is a good friend of Matt and Poodle and suggested they start a podcast. So, thank you, Ronnie! Listen to them here: https://www.realitygays.com/
Kate McLeod Unscented Moisturizing Body Stone: As many of you know, I don’t wash my legs. Like when someone says do you wash your legs in the shower? I firmly stand by “the water runoff cleans them.” Not cuz I’m lazy. I mean, I do hate showering. It’s just boring to me. It ranks up there with putting gas in my car and dying my roots. Anyway, I discovered this moisturizing stone. It comes in a cute container that can be reused, so there’s no waste. It glides on your skin like butter. I love that it has no smell. They have a bunch with fragrances, but I like unscented best. Give it a try. https://www.katemcleod.com/
Reese’s Peanut Brittle Peanut Butter Cups: Where are your Reese’s heads? If you like the original, you’ll love these. I can’t explain the flavor, but I’ll say these are just peanut butter goodness. Just try them. You’ll love them. I believe they are seasonal, so buy enough because I can never find them after the holidays.
What Sandra Is Loving
Grey's Anatomy: I'm doing a rewatch right now because it's comforting (sick, I know), the first seasons are so good, and I love this show so much until things changed (not going to spoil) but I'll be watching this for a while until certain people leave the show. The show has 420 episodes in total right now! Watch on Netflix and later seasons on Hulu.
Radio Rental Podcast: Spooky Season is still upon us; this is a great Podcast for everybody who likes to listen to some creepy, true stories; some really give you the chills. Get it everywhere you listen to podcasts.
Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail and Cuticle Oil: This oil works wonders for your nails and cuticles. Winter is coming and no one likes rough cuticles, and it hurts too. This oil is cheap; you can find it at Walmart, Target, or Amazon, and it'll last you a long time.
